Course Description:
Eastern Team Tryouts. Pertinent information is published in the SnowPro, and e-mailed to registrants as appropriate.

Additional Event Details:

The AASI Eastern Team tryout is a tryout for people that are interested in National Team tryouts in 2024. The main responsibilities are simply committing to the AASI Eastern Team tryout, being committed to all the fees and timelines associated with trying out for the PSIA-AASI National Team in 2024, and generating similar content that will be needed for the National Team tryouts (writing samples, videos, etc.). The Eastern Team tryout will be competing for spots to be endorsed by the Eastern Division to represent at the National Team tryout. The Eastern Team tryout is not an event where you come "see how you stack up" or come to "see what it is all about". You should have your mind made up that you are trying out for the PSIA-AASI National Team in 2024 prior to signing up for the Eastern Team tryout. It is not currently a requirement to be on the Eastern Team to apply for National Team tryouts. It is a strongly suggested way to prepare for the process and start to organize your content needed for National Team tryouts for both on snow and off snow. Being a member of the Eastern Team will help an individual have the opportunity to secure a Divisional Endorsement to attend the National Team tryouts, however an endorsement is not guaranteed for all Eastern Team members. The Eastern Team tryout is a 2-day tryout.

    Event Participant Safety Policy

Skiing and riding are athletic and physically demanding activities. It is the expectation of PSIA-AASI Eastern Division that each participant attending an event or exam shall possess the requisite level of fitness and stamina to participate safely, on all appropriate terrain and at a pace consistent with other members of the group. As such, PSIA-AASI Eastern Division reserves the right to have education staff reassign participants in any event that may pose a risk to themselves or others or consistently impede the progress of the group to another, more skill and fitness-appropriate event.
